The Czech Republic has a higher proportion of recreational cyclists than other European countries. In the Czech Republic, there are approximately 447,000 active cyclists, of which 326,000 cycle regularly (more than once a week) and another 121,000 cycle several times a month. Approximately 36% of the population regularly engages in recreational cycling.
However, this healthy hobby also has its downsides. Frequent and improper cycling causes several chronic health problems. If left untreated, these can lead to bigger issues, threatening not only the safe cycling of cyclists, but also interfering with their daily lives through back and joint pain.
The most common health problems among cyclists include back, knee, and neck pain. Long-term riding and incorrect handlebar grip can result in headaches and neck muscle pain. Wide handlebars can cause thoracic spine pain or pain in the area between the shoulder blades. The lumbar region, in turn, suffers from, for example, incorrect forward bending.

Carpal tunnel syndrome does not have to be exclusive to people working with a mouse. Cyclists can also develop it due to poor bike setup or overexertion. Cyclists often suffer from the so-called cyclist’s knee, which is a cartilage degeneration caused by excessive wear and tear.
Laser therapy is the most effective solution to these problems. The laser releases muscle tension and spasms, provides energy for healing processes at the intracellular level, and revitalizes the tissue of the musculoskeletal system, i.e., the tissue of the periosteum, muscle attachments, tendons, and ligaments. Handling high-energy lasers requires a well-informed approach at a specialized workplace, which LASER THERAPY undoubtedly is. In addition to laser therapy, complete physiotherapy and rehabilitation are performed here.
